Victorian Nudist Locations

Although there are four legal public nudist areas within the state of Victoria, there are numerous unofficial places for nudists to enjoy. I will list any nudist areas I hear of on this page and will also include directions, maps and, in some cases, pictures. If there are some I have missed then I would be very grateful to know about them. Unfortunately I have received too much spam from placing email addresses on webpages that you will have to fill out a form to contact me about them. Even more unfortunate is that I don't yet know how to make a form, but never fear, it will be here soon!

Official Nudist Locations

Sunnyside North Beach

Getting there: Drive south from Frankston along the Nepean Highway and turn right into Sunyside Road. Parking is at the end of Sunnyside Road and can get quite full. The beach next to the carpark is NOT the nudist beach, when facing the water, turn right and walk up the beach (north) for about 10 minutes (you may have to climb over a few small rocks).

Campbell's Cove

Getting there: Take the Point Cook Road turnoff from the Princes Fwy in Laverton. Follow south and turn right into Cunningham's Road. At the end of Cunningham's Road turn Left into Campbell's Cove Road and follow to the end. This road is unsealed and not in the best condition so please drive safely.

Southside Beach (Point Addis)

Getting there: Drive through Torquay along the Great Ocean Road and continue towards Anglesea. Turn left into Point Addis Road (just after the turnoff to Bell's Beach) and park in the first carpark (on the right). There is a path to the beach opposite the carpark. Walk down the track and some steps to the beach. The nudist area starts about 500 metres up the beach to the left of the steps.

Unofficial Nudist Locations

Bourchier's Road (Kangaroo Ground)

A tranquil, secluded area near Warrandyte, Bourchier's Road in Kangaroo Ground hosts one of the finest non-beach nudist areas in Victoria. When driving to the area there are two fairly easy ways to get there, one involves coming through Diamond Creek, the other through Warrandyte. Both places have signs pointing to Kangaroo Ground. When in the suburb, turn into Menzies Creek Road (if coming from Diamond Creek) or Pigeon Bank Road (if coming from Warrandyte). Pigeon Bank Road is quite steep and, as such, people should be careful when driving as some cars do not seem to obey road rules (sorry, bad experiences with impatient tailgaters). From either road, turn into Bourchier's Road. This is a dirt road which is a little bit pot-holey. Please take great care here and, if you see a motorbike going at about 5 kph down the road, don't ride up his arse. Fortunately this road has very little traffic and the chances of seeing someone else on it are remote. At the end of Bourchier's Road is a parking area with a locked gate at the end. Park here and follow the path through the gate. The path veers to the right (you should be able to see the river) and ends at a locked gate with a small space between the gate and the fence. Climb through here (it is not onto private property) and follow the path.

This nudist area has two main areas. The first one becomes apparent when you walk along the path. It is a wide, open area where a lot of people can sit. Often there are clothed people here and, as such, many nude people go to a second area further along the path. This area is kind of hidden but well worth the extra 5 minute walk. Follow the original path until you come to a sort of clearing area (you may need to climb over a fallen tree). At this river side of the clearing there is a small path leading down to a riverside grassy area. This is usually where I sit so come say hi.
